Children's needs during separation
Parental separation changes children's lives. Their well-known family system collapses, and they experience great insecurity as a result. They need adequate, age-appropriate support. However,in the face of separation and divorce, parents are often overwhelmed at first, not always knowing how to react to their children's suffering.
How do children cope with their parents' divorce?
How can parents support their children?
How can we talk to our children about the impending changes?
How can children maintain their relationship with their absent parent?
All these questions will be at the heart of this information evening for concerned parents, but also for grandparents worried about this difficult situation. Issues like parenting after divorce, as well as the long-term consequences, will be addressed and discussed more explicitly at other information evenings.
